Absolute Results is currently migrating a number of customer facing applications from a legacy on-premise platform to a custom cloud application on AWS. We need an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst/Architect with a strong background in custom web application development and systems architecture to provide technology leadership for these business-critical projects. The Senior Business Systems Analyst/Architect will report to the Director of Development and be part of a team working closely with business stakeholders and the technology team to design, develop and drive solutions that will improve business operations and processes to meet the needs of our rapidly expanding business. This role will be based in our Surrey BC head-office and may require travel to our branch offices and customer locations across Canada and USA.
In this role, you will:
- Work closely with business stake holders and customers to develop a deep understanding of the core business processes, products and customer needs to effectively define the business requirements for the applications being developed
- Work closely with the development team to design technology solutions that address immediate and long term needs of the business and our customers
- Identify new technologies and processes; providing technical leadership within the business and development team
- Contribute to our development culture by encouraging continuous improvement of all systems and processes
- Maintain our reputation of delivering high-quality customer focused products by listening to our customers' needs
To qualify, you'll have:
- A degree in computer science, engineering or business; CBAP or other BA certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a Senior Business Analyst role on customer facing web application projects
- Significant experience working on custom business applications based on web/cloud technologies is a must
- A minimum of five years experience in systems analysis with project management or leadership responsibilities
- Experience acting as a Product Owner in agile software development would be a plus
- Ability to get ‘your hands dirty’ in Ruby on Rails, LAMP stack, GoLang or another language would be a huge plus
- Experience with complex systems integration involving significant number of disparate internal and external systems
- Experience working with large datasets; experience with “Big Data” technology implementation would be a plus
- Experience in the automotive industry is highly preferred; experience in a sales oriented organization would be beneficial
- Bilingual English/French would be a benefit
